Seven thousand “hopeless” allopathic cast off cases as failures seeking the aid of a humble self-taught Homoeopath in eight years is no mean tribute to the growing prestige of Homoeopathy in a town where it was unknown eight years ago. Seven thousand “incurable” cases becoming cured and therefore “famous” through “similia similibus curentur” at the hands of a single novice is not to be ignored or laughed at any more-at least not by our Allopaths.
Both remedies are indicated in the irritable type of individual. The Nux Vomica patient is of a quarrelsome, spiteful disposition and doesnt care who knows it. The Coca patient is not dependable, is exceedingly nervous and anxious, but not so quick on the trigger.
With regard to dysmenorrhoea very often Mag. phos. would help in the acute attack, and the remedy which had helped him the most was Tuberculinum 6, and it very often eliminated the need for Mag. phos. They all knew that Carbo veg. was a “corpse reviver”; with regard to Veratrum alb. he had a very severe diarrhoea one day, with a cold clammy sweat. He took a dose of Veratrum alb. and in twenty minutes was relieved.
Inherited tendencies are the gifts of the parents and are woven into the protoplasm, but the diet factor enters into the development of the individual from the very first feeding. During infancy and childhood structural diet problems take precedence over the maintenance and replacement foods required in later years, and during the early months milk is the important item of diet.
Thus we note how little is known in medicine today; how medicine is pursued along wrong lines, and that by supposedly learned doctors; how the above outline reconciles and co-ordinates disease, its nature, cause and cure, and makes Hahnemanns homoeopathy the only truly scientific system of medical healing.
The ipse dixit of some over-enthusiastic homoeopath has too frequently led to disappointment when another physician has tried to follow his example. What homoeopathy needs most of all, is properly conducted drug proving; controlled, clinical research and post-graduate instruction in its basic philosophy. Undergraduate instruction, in this age of alleged scientific advance, has definitely shown itself to be a failure.
That the time is near for such recognition, at least through the rediscovery of the law by another Hahnemann or scientist, is highly probable, because already many leaders in medical thought are experimenting with the claims of the homoeopathic law.
