HOW I HAVE COME TO ADMIRE HOMOEOPATHY

The doctors reply was very encouraging. He gave me a copy of “Lauries Epitome of Domestic Medicine” to study and some instructions for the use of drugs on general lines. I had soon after to live in places where I could get on good Homoeopath to consult. I, however, went on studying such books on the Hahnemannian art of healing as I could get within my reach during short intervals of spare time at my disposal.

SYMPTOMS COMMON AND UNCOMMON

This paper is a continuation of one I gave you before the war on the Value of the Peculiar Symptom in relationship to the Totality of Symptoms, and which was founded on notes kept from day to day by Dr. Duncan Russell and myself of symptoms of patients in practice, symptoms which led us to prescribe the drug indicated by that peculiar symptom and in some cases for that symptom itself, it being that complained of by the patient.

Editorial

We have no hesitation to acknowledge that Homoeopathy has no indiscreet surgery, it has no meddlesome midwifery, it has no muddling pathology; but judicious surgery it has plenty and to spare, it has judicious midwifery in loyal cooperation with dame nature, it has very much deeper and more detailed pathology sine slavish dependence on such laboratory searching as simulate certain hobbies of the inmates of a lunatic asylum.
