POISONED FINGER NAILS

Within a month a marked improvement took place. she had no trouble with her periods; the headaches were much better; and her bowels were beginning to function more normally, and the mental symptoms were much better. I think this speaks volumes for Homeopathy.

ON May 1st, 1934, I was given the following information:.

Mrs. X., aged 44, dark, and of medium build, has suffered for the least eight to ten years with “poisoned finger nails” (both hands), which give her a lot of pain.

The nails on each finger have become rather deformed; and around and deep under the edges of each nail, there is suppuration.

Has been under a London Hospital for over a year, where the fingers have been treated with “Light Rays”.

The doctors at the hospital call the disease “Paronychia”. She suffers from bad headaches, as if the head was compressed. Appetite fairly good-stomach distended-very constipated. Periods fairly regular, but once they are on, she is like a lunatic. They become suppressed, and then come on again. Suffers from palpitation-all symptoms worse before and at the beginning of her periods.

The mental symptoms are: Dread of coming trouble, afraid to be alone at times, depression with weeping. Has a strong will, and fights against these feelings.

Was vaccinated as a child, and again in 1932, when it took well. Since the second vaccination she has been much worse.

I decided she was suffering from Chronic Vaccinosis, and gave her Thuja 30 to be taken night and morning, intercurrently with Silica 30.

I instructed her to cut down her meat diet to a very minimum, and to go on a vegetable and fruit diet. I also put her on to Rye porridge.

Within a month a marked improvement took place. she had no trouble with her periods; the headaches were much better; and her bowels were beginning to function more normally, and the mental symptoms were much better.

By the end of August the fingers were much better, but one finger would not heal.

About this time a bunion on her right foot began to suppurate and discharge.

I was then told that, some years previously, the patient had one toe amputated owing to blood poisoning. This was on the same foot as the bunion.

I then gave her Gunpowder 3x.

About this time the patient went to the sea for a fortnights holiday. I gave instructions that she should take every opportunity of bathing the bad foot in warm sea water. This was done and she derived a great deal of benefit. I was only told a few days ago that the hands and foot had completely healed, and that all the other symptoms had also vanished.

Her friend told me that, prior to this treatment, she suffered such agony with her hands, and her mental symptoms were so bad that they expected that she would destroy herself at any time.

I think this speaks volumes for Homoeopathy.
