PERSISTENT ABSCESSES

The mother was delighted on her return and said to me I know you are more to Esme than I am. Do you wonder when you consider the difference in the treatment? This child has grown up perfectly healthy and is now happily married.

DEAR MR. BARKER, A friend of mine gave me the following interesting incident:.

She says in her own words: “In 1895 I took over the entire charge of two children, the younger of whom was then 14 months. This child was perfectly healthy until she w as vaccinated, after which she was troubled with a series of abscesses (twelve in all). The routine adopted was as follows:

The doctor would be called in who lanced the abscess, and then dressed with Carbolic gauze with which he plugged the wound. The result of this was the child became terrified of all men, including her own father. She did not take any interest in anything or anyone, and never smiled, but I noticed that she would whimper if I left the room.

Shortly after I took up my post, the parents went away, and in a few days I noticed the child winced when I picked her up and upon closely examining her I found the usual bright red spot appearing on the buttocks. I was determined that the child should not be tortured on this occasion, and as I had a slight knowledge of homoeopathy, I instructed the footman to obtain some Mercurius sol. and Sulphur (I have forgotten the strength now), some boracic lint and adhesive tape.

I gave her night and morning alternately Mercurius sol. and Sulphur, and to my great joy, there shortly appeared a small hole in the centre of the rising which I drained by means of hot boracic fomentations and steam, and thoroughly cleansed it of the blackish blood which came from the wound. It quickly healed quite naturally, and the child has never had another since ! The mother was delighted on her return and said to me I know you are more to Esme than I am.

Do you wonder when you consider the difference in the treatment? This child has grown up perfectly healthy and is now happily married.

STUDY CLASSES.

DEAR MR. BARKER, As a regular reader of “HEAL THYSELF” I would like to say how much I appreciate the articles therein. I would whether something could not be done to arrange study classes and groups for discussion. I am always buying homoeopathic books, but one feels so zealous about the results homoeopathy can achieve that one feels one would like to either write or talk to somebody who understands and who is interested also.

I would so much like to enter into correspondence with somebody about our wonderful remedies, and would be glad to get into touch with somebody like myself who is never tired of reading about, and discussing, the amazing results that can be achieved. Do you think you could put me in touch with somebody?.
