Mr. Z.I., aged 11 years, the only son of his parents, when an infant was erroneously given a cold bath during a fever. The child then developed pneumonia and had allopathic treatment. His symptoms subsided but, when he got well, it was observed that the child had weak vision and convergent squint. In his 7th year, when the boy was sent to school, it was further observed that he had practically no vision in the left eye, although the eye ball and its appendages were examined and determined to be healthier than the right eye. The parents alarmed and took the boy to many eye specialists and general practitioners. a surgeon suggested an operation but the mother would not agree.

The boy was brought to me on the 1st of May 1951 and the mother disclosed that the child perspired on nose, lips and scalp when asleep, during childhood he had preferred to sit on the ground and apply mud and dust to the abdomen and ate chalk and coal. He wanted lights on during night and wanted to play in water. Father had hernia and was operated upon. Mother is apparently in good health, being a nurse, but has no further issue Rx Calc. carb. 30.

The mother took the child to Bannu, returning to Lahore on the 16th June, 1951. She reported that immediately after the administration of Calc. carb., the boy started rubbing the left eye which he never did before. Some days later he stopped rubbing the eye, the mother, by way of curiosity, tested the eye and found that the boy could now see better. The squinting had already decreased. Rx Calc. carb. 200 1 dose.

On the 2nd of March, 1952, the mother and the son both came to my clinic. The boy had no squinting and the sight in both the eyes was normal. The mother said that the boy was thoroughly examined in the Mayo Hospital and the doctor, who had first examined the eyes and said that the sight could not be improved without operation, was much astonished to see the cure but did not believe that it was brought on by homoeopathic treatment. He said it was brought on by homoeopathic treatment. He said it was nature that helped and so they always say. LAHORE, PAKISTAN.
