HOW TO TREAT BEE STINGS

Urine became scanty and was still so when she visited me the next day. (I had been out of town the day of the accident.) I found right side of neck swollen, red and indurated. Gave Carbolic acid 30x, which restored kidney function and cleared up the general urticaria. J.T. Kent, in his Lectures on Homeopathic acid to such a case, on page III, lecture on Apis mel.

DEAR Mr. BARKER, Mr. F.J. Bennett;s case of bee sting, cured with Apis mel., recalls a case of mine, a woman of middle age, who, in 1927, was stung on the right ear by a honey-bee. A few minutes later she had intense burning of hands and arms, swelling of hands and neck. When she removed her clothing, skin everywhere was covered with urticarial nodules, and burned terribly.

A few months ago, a man was stung several times on hands while trying to “hive” a swarm of bees. Both hands were swollen, itching, painful, red. No kidney involvement. I gave Urtica urens 200. Condition became worse. Gave Ledum 30x. No change. Then gave Carbolic-acid 200, with relief of all symptoms in a few hours.
