HEADACHE


Aggravation: Morning on waking. Evening 7 p.m. night. About midnight. Bending head backward. Fasting, if hunger is not appeased at once. Mental exertion. When the desire for food is not immediately satisfied. 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Amelioration: After eating. Description: Violent headache when the desire for food is not immediately satisfied, better after eating. Severe pain in vertex as if the brain were shaking, with nausea, which prevents her from keeping the head quiet. Lancinating pains first in one side, then in the other occipital headache after mental exertion.


DULCAMARA.

Type: Catarrhal. Rheumatic.

Amelioration: When talking. When lying down. Open air. By conversation.

Attending Symptoms: Indolence. Icy coldness of body. Inclination to vomit. Inability to think.

Description: Headache with indolence, icy coldness of body and inclination to vomit.

Stupefaction of head.

Dull headache in forehead and root of nose as if he had a plank in front of head.

Boring headache from within outward in temples and forehead; worse before midnight, when lying quiet, when talking.

Catarrhal and Rheumatic headache worse in damp cold weather, with depression of spirits mental confusion and inability to think. Occipital pain ascending from nape of neck.

Headache relieved by conversation.

Back part of head chilly, heavy, aching, during cold weather.

Dull pressure as if a broad were resting heavily on the forehead.

Pressive, stunning pains in different parts of the head.

Piercing and burning pain in forehead with digging from inside outwards, with sensation as if brain were enlarged, worse in evening till midnight, when becoming cold.

Better when lying down.

Bursting pain extending from forehead to bridge of nose.

The headache is worse by the slightest movements and even by speaking.

Boring headache from within to without in the temples and forehead, worse before midnight, when lying quiet, better talking.

Sensation in occiput as if it were enlarged.

Stupefying headache, heaviness of the head.

Stupefying ache in occiput, ascending from the nape of the neck.

Un-pleasant sensation of chilliness in the cerebellum and over the back with the sensation as if the hair were standing on end, returning every day in the evening.

ELAPS COR.

Location: Forehead. Over eyes. Occiput. One side of head. Temples. Vertex. First on one side then on the other.

Pain: Stitching. Stinging. Lancinating.

Extension: Forehead to occiput.

Attending Symptoms: Nausea. Vomiting. Hot lachrymation. Burning in eyes. Violent thirst. Copious discharge of urine.

Description: Fits of megrim in the evening and rolling and burning in head, with forcing towards the eyes, lachrymation nausea and vomiting, during which the pains are aggravated.

Pains in the head at night with burning pain in eyes, violent thirst, and copious discharge of urine.
