Editorial Belated Better Than Repudiated

This is an age of Self assertion and if the Homoeopathic Medical profession do not move to have their Diplomas recognised by the Government it is themselves they have to thank for. It is however, heartening to know that the unregistered medical practitioners are moving the Govt. for their recognition and we commend this move to the Homoeo. Practitioners.

A deputation consisting of Drs. Charu Chandra Sanyal, Phani Bhushan Guha Neogy and Jogesh Chandra Datta, on behalf of Jalpaiguri Doors Tea Garden Indian Employees Association met the West Bengal Premier Dr. B.C. Roy and made a strong case for the immediate registration of the practising doctors who possessed diplomas of the different national medical schools of Bengal.

It is understood that they had received sufficient assurance from the Premier and the Director of Health Services that their request would be met with in course of this year.

Unregistered medical practitioners holding diplomas of national medical schools, who wish to get themselves registered have been requested by Dr. Charu Chandra Sanyal to apply with their certificates and other necessary documents in support of their completion of four years study courses to him or to any one of the following: (a) Mrs. Mahendra Nath Gupta, Registrar, West Bengal Council of Medical Registration, 21 Old Court House Street, (Calcutta), (b) Dr. J.C. Chaudhury, 29, Dixon Lane Calcutta (between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.).
